Best Places to Propose in NYC

Lauren B takes on the city to help you find your perfect proposal location

Getting engaged is arguably one of the most important and sentimental moments in life. Bending down on one knee to ask your person for forever is nerve-racking all on its own. Add the pressure of planning the perfect proposal, and a lot of stress can come from something that should bring nothing but joy and excitement to your life. That’s why we started our NYC proposal series on the Lauren B Instagram page. Being based in the city, we have countless beautiful proposal locations in our backyard, and we want to help make this process as seamless for you as possible.

Viceroy Hotel

We kicked off the proposal series in April with a proposal video done on the top of the Viceroy Hotel in midtown Manhattan. This space is full of gorgeous views looking over the city and central park.

Central Park: Conservatory Water

Our next stop in the NYC proposal series takes us into the park itself at the Conservatory Water. While the Viceroy Hotel offers an unbelievable birds-eye view of the park and the city lights, there is something romantic about a proposal in the park. The serene water, green grass, blooming trees and skyscrapers in the background make for the most beautiful location.

Central Park: Bow Bridge

The park offers a wide selection of beautiful proposal backdrops. If the Conservatory Water isn’t it for you, the Bow Bridge might be. Located around 74th street and the middle of the east and west sides of the park, you can’t go wrong with popping the question in this beautiful spot.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Another beautiful option is just a few steps outside of the park. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a beautiful, landmark with its fountains, iconic stairs and a world of historical art inside. A proposal here can be celebrated on the rooftop garden.

Grand Central Terminal

For anyone looking to pop the question indoors, Grand Central Terminal is a wonderful choice. The famed train station is full of stunning architecture and prime lighting. While we don’t recommend this location at rush hour if you are open to a public proposal, one here any other time of the day would be beautiful and memorable.
