Don't overlook this important factor when creating your ring!

You finally have the perfect engagement ring design... one additional aspect you want to make sure you don't neglect is getting the right RING SIZE!  An engagement ring should fit pretty tight overall. There should be some resistance in taking it on and off.

We're here to discuss the importance of having the correct finger size for your ring from the start & the different ways you can go about doing so!

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO GET THE RIGHT RING SIZE FROM THE START:

1. to avoid the ring from falling off your finger

2. to avoid the ring from sliding around your finger and getting knocked, which could lead to damaging the prongs or center stone.

3. Making minor sizing alterations is one thing (a quarter to a half size), however, if sizing alterations are much more then that, when the ring is being cut down the metal on the side can become stressed causing the pave diamonds to become loose and more likely to fall out of their setting.

HOW TO ENSURE YOU HAVE THE ACCURATE FINGER SIZE:

1. Grab one of her rings that she currently wears on her ring finger and bring it to us to size with a mandrel.
** It's important to note that finger sizes vary from finger to finger. Your dominant hand will always be a touch larger, so it's imperative to make sure the ring you bring to us to measure is for the right finger!

2.  Bring her in to get sized with our custom ring sizing system. The sizing system at Lauren B is a little different then most jewelers. Our rings are generally made with a thin pave or thin sold band, so the sizers we use are custom made to match the exact sizing of our rings.
