Men's Wedding Bands

Men's wedding bands are often overlooked when it comes to the design possibilities. We all grew up seeing our father's and grandfather's thick or thin, white or yellow gold half round wedding bands and that's normally the go-to, however there are different ways to make your wedding band personalized to your style.

Wedding bands always feel like a breath of fresh air after the engagement ring design process which can be meticulous and time consuming. Most welcome it and can find themselves surprised by their wedding band choice as just with engagement rings, one's ideal design can change in the blink of an eye. Some start out very certain of a matching micro pave wedding band and walk out head over heels for a bezel set band- but you probably know the drill by now when it comes to trying on different styles that anything can change!

1. Make it Matte

Any men's wedding bands can be made in with a satin or matte finish which makes the band feel more understated and of course less shiny.  Naturally, a matte look comes with years of wear and depending upon the metal can show more or less. 14K gold of any color remains a tad shinier but note that 14K white gold becomes warmer with wear. Platinum is well known for its finish and develops a patina that most know and love. If you love that worn in look, opt for a matte finish from the start!

2. Basics: Flat vs. Round Band and Band Width

As mentioned above, the most classic wedding band is a round shape which sits snug on the finger and has a low profile. We would call this a rounded comfort fit band. Switching to a flat edge band is great for those who want their wedding band to sit a little higher on the finger- thus making it more noticeable by giving it a geometric and angular look.
In terms of shank width, we create our wedding bands in any color gold or platinum. Depending upon how long or large your hands are, you'll typically be exploring a 2mm-8mm width in your band.

3. Two-Tone it!

Feeling like that classic band just isn't you? Consider a two tone band featuring your favorite gold colors side by side. You can also have one color in a satin finish and the other in a hi-shine finish for a customized look. This is a great idea if you like to change your watch colors often and don't want to be tied down to one metal! We love mixing metals and think it is the perfect way to go for a unique look.

3. Diamonds + Sapphires

There are a handful of ways to incorporate diamonds into your wedding band. Whether you want a couple of them thrown in or an entire row. And what about 5 rows? That is an option too! Round brilliant diamonds show the most brilliance and sparkle.
They draw the perfect amount of attention to any band. Some of our clients prefer to have a wedding band that feels dressed up for those special occasions. Sapphires are still faceted to give sparkle but come in a variety of different colors. For something edgy, consider black diamonds set in your band.

4. Texture
