Where are all of our 2019 brides at?! With the new year comes new wedding dress trends, new color palettes, and this year is definitely all about the new, new! Here are five 2019 wedding predictions and trends to help all those in the midst of their 2019 wedding planning.
- Wedding Color Palette: 2019’s Pantone Color of the Year is “Living Coral,” which is perfect for those spring and summer weddings! The brand explains this year’s color selection as being one that seeks “authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy.” For years we have seen the traditional soft, muted color palettes for bouquets and centerpieces, however, this year there has been a serious increase with brides incorporating more bright and fun colors into their wedding color palette. Although rich greenery throughout the ceremony and wedding decor is still here to stay, it is more likely to now be paired with a vibrant selection of colored flowers. Speaking of flowers, Peonies and Ranunculus will also be a popular pick for bouquets and arrangements this year.
- Next up… the one vital detail that every little girl dreamt about growing up, her WEDDING DRESS. You want to feel like a true princess on the day of your wedding and although that may look and feel different for every bride here are a few 2019 wedding dress trends/ predictions to help guide you in your search for THE dress:
- Asymmetry: More high to low silhouette dresses are making their mark this year. They pair perfectly with those gorgeous bridal heels you can't wait to wear and ensure you won’t be tripping over the front of your dress while walking down the aisle or on the dance floor!
- Second Dresses: Although many brides are still opting for one beautiful, traditional dress, more and more brides are choosing a traditional ceremony dress with a dress change leading into their reception.
- Non Traditional Coverage: Although the classic veil is still a traditional bride favorite for many, it’s no longer a must- have accessory this year. Now brides are looking for more creative and stylish ways to cover their heads and shoulders on their big day. Many brides are turning to caplets, detachable sleeves or higher necklines for more coverage during their ceremony or just for personal preference.
- Silhouette Shape: Although many brides are still loving the looser fitting, flowy bohemian style dress, bridal designers are predicting more structured gowns in this coming year, with clean, minimal embellishments and a focus on striking silhouettes, giving gowns a sexy flare no matter how much skin is exposed.
- Detailed Sleeves & Dramatic Backs: Although these dress details have been a favorite for many brides in the past, we will be seeing a lot more of these dress details in 2019.
- Statement Wedding Cakes: more and more couples are opting to splurge on one big focal statement cake versus an assortment of dessert options.
- Royal Wedding Inspired Flower Decor- Large flower installations over entrances are sure to be a popular statement piece in 2019, creating a whimsical/magical wedding feel.
- Non traditional ceremony set ups: wedding planners are seeing more and more couples opting for non traditional ceremony set ups such as; the ceremony in the round or a long, winding aisle.
We hope these five 2019 wedding trends and predictions help inspire all of our 2019 brides! One thing is for certain, wedding planners are seeing more and more couples opting to create an overall more personalized touch to their wedding, rightfully so, it is a celebration in honor of the two of you after all!
