Finding the perfect pear shape is no easy task and at LaurenB we are here to help you source the right one for your custom engagement ring. A few quick tips to keep in mind: length to width ratio can be anywhere from 1.3:1, for a wider look, all the way up to 1.65:1 for a more slender style. Also, they hide inclusions pretty well so SI clarity can be fine but they tend to show color more easily so anywhere from 'I' color and up is acceptable. Last of all the outline of this diamond is important and for the most part you would aim for a nice, rounded teardrop shape as opposed to a very pointed, angular look. Keep these quick notes in mind!
