Color refers to how colorless a diamond appears while clarity deals with the purity & amount of inclusions within the stone. The cushion cut comparison here is for color purposes. While both are graded as "J" color by GIA, our diamond on the left has a more colorless appearance face-up. The other stone (typically found online) has a noticeable yellow tint that detracts from its beauty. The next example is for clarity and compares a brilliant stone to a hazy one
