Oval cut Diamonds Ratio Comparison
Click to Watch
Here is a great video focusing on length to width ratios of oval diamonds. While it does come down to a matter of preference there are certain standards that most people will follow; for those that want something on the wider/fuller side for their oval diamond they would opt for a ratio closer to 1.3:1 while those after more finger coverage length wise would opt for something closer to the 1.5:1 ratio. There is a big difference between these two extremes so watch this video to get a better feel for how each one looks and keep in mind the oval diamonds shown in this video are all the same weight so the only thing that differs is how long or short they are relative to each other.
